It's Everyones Secret

I came across a post of a blog that was talking about "The Secret." They are worthy and able to make their own opinion about it and so is everyone else but I think most people I've talked to have the wrong impression of what the book, movie and teachers are saying. This post I've linked, is saying that all "The Secret" is a way out for people to face the truth. The teachers of the Secret are saying "Whatever you think about and talk about, YOU bring about." Whatever you give out to the world is what you will recieve. People are living proof of this, I am one of them. Read the post and this is my comment towards her post.

There has been a lot of speculation towards this book because some people think it's a get rich and stay rich book. The movie I do think it based on a lot of material things but isn't that how our socity is? Is that what the writers and producers are looking for? Connection between the people in society and their message? Their message runs deeper than saying "HEY, If you think positive everything will come to you".....or "hey people of New Orleans you deserved what happened." HELL NO. Of course they didn't deserve it. The Secret is a universal language. It is an outlook and form of your personality that no one else can control but you. It is how you handle something. It's what you do with what has been given or down to you in your life. The people of New Orleans didn't deserve it or wish it upon themselves. It was Life that happened to them--things in life happened that we can't explain or feel like we can't move on from. The Secret can be applied to your ATTITUDE towards what happens in your life. If something goes wrong more than likely you don't deserve it but it is HOW you handle it that will help you with your outcome. If you are negative and down about it then it will never be resolved(in some to most cases) and if you are positive and motivated that YOU have the POWER to change it, it will change. We, as human beings are more powerful than we know or give each other credit for. The teachers of The Secret don't want to push a believe or want you to not believe in God(or vise versa), they want you to flourish in your life and have the energy to have a positive worthy of changing attitude. No one deserves to go through a horrible life changing tradegy, but it could and may happen to all of us at one point in our lives--if we all were negative and depressed NOTHING would get done and the people of New Orleans wouldn't have been picking up the pieces and working together to make home, "HOME" again.

If you are open-minded and love to think I say check out The Secret and make sure you understand the real meaning of the message. Everyone goes through rough times in their life and this is a way to improve you and your life. Make the time to think about your life and how this relates to YOU. Here is a Sneak Peak! and then the first 20 minutes of the movie!

Fact or Fiction?

I've been reading my Newsfeeder Blogs this past week and came across a very interesting experiment I have never heard before. It was called the Rosenhan Experiment done by David Rosenhan. Could Psychiatrists in America distinguish between madness and sanity? In this video you will see what the outcome of the experiment was.

Many, many people who have mental disorders do not realize they have one. And it bothers me very much that psychiatrists, in the past, have not been able to detect what they are or where they came from. I love psychology and have a lot of respect for the Psychiatrists all over the world. It really must be hard to detect whether someone is telling the truth, faking or pretending to be better or worse.

This guy on YouTube is using his home videos to try and figure out why he was in a mental hospital, he really truly doesn't understand. But looking and watching many videos of his you can tell something isn't right. He seems to have a very high IQ yet there is something missing or genetically wired differently. Video #1 and Video #2.
Mental illness can be a very scary thing when exposed to it. Most people are not familiar interacting with someone who has a mental illness. Most illnesses can be treated if diagnosed correctly. I don't know what scares me more people being misdiagnosed or people faking disorders and having Professionals not being able to tell.
